Power Systems Sales Professional - Bismarck

Our Electric Power Generation Sales Professionals will work to provide collaborative solutions within an assigned territory while promoting all aspects of Butler Machinery.

As a Solutions Provider in this role, you will cater to individuals seeking power alternatives and take charge of promoting and selling Caterpillar Electric Power Generation products. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing all potential sales endeavors within your designated territory and accounts.

Responsibilities:

- Introduce new customers to and promote Electric Power Generation products.

- Build and maintain strong personal relationships with customers focusing on long term mutual growth by becoming their primary point-of-contact at the dealership.

- Deliver and demonstrate product features/benefits and communicate their value to customers in the field or in a remote setting.

- Specification Review

- Creating quotes

- Managing CRM data

- Meeting or exceeding targets for units, revenue and gross profit

- Provide customers with real solutions to meet their needs based on your understanding of how our products and services bring value to their operation.

- Provide world class customer service.

- Promote Butlers product support offerings, including parts and service.

- Travel the assigned territory to meet with customers and prospective customers to solicit - - EPG and Customer Value Agreement purchases

- Participate in and contribute to training and obtain required vendor certifications as requested.

- Maintain accurate customer and equipment population information in our systems.

- Completes and processes all documentation and paperwork.

- Be guided by Butlers mission statement and core values in everything you do

Qualifications:

- Minimum of three years experience selling electric power generation equipment, or 3 to 5 years experience as an EPG Project Manager preferred.

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university preferred.

- Self-starter able to work with limited supervision; capable of working independently, developing objectives, setting priorities, and implementing ideas in a timely manner.

- High mechanical aptitude required; able to maintain up to date knowledge of Caterpillar engine and generator lines.

- Must be able to effectively negotiate and close deals.

- Able to develop and execute action plans.

- Excellent customer satisfaction skills and the ability to build strong relationships.

- Must be innovative and creative when handling challenging situations.

- Strong PC skills, with the ability to self-develop and adapt to changing technology; proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

- Able to engage in effective and persuasive discussions on complex topics with top management and other personnel. Must be able to make presentations.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must have the ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical information to non-technical users.

- Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record.

- Able to work shifts needed, including days, nights, and/or weekends, to meet customer demands.
