Provide accounting, finance and analytical support in the verification, control and processing of work activities in respective area. Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual and periodic financial statements, analyses, reports and data requests for management, internal departments and external entities. Responsible for adding and maintaining vendor address book records. Assists with escheating unclaimed property for the Enterprise. Assists in enhancing or implementation of most cost efficient and timely method of vendor payment for the Enterprise. Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day to day work routine for self and others.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Financial Analyst I: ($53,890 - $67,360)
Must possess a working knowledge of accounting fundamentals and principles at a level normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in accounting, finance or related field.
Financial Analyst II: ($60,320 - $75,400)
Bachelors degree in accounting or related field; and
Two years related accounting/finance experience.
Financial Analyst III: ($69,380 - $86,730)
Bachelors degree in accounting or related field; and
Four years related accounting experience, with a minimum of two years experience in financial analysis.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS
CPA or professional certification desired.
JD Edwards and utility accounting experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
May be required to maintain a valid driver's license.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports Sarbanes-Oxley compliance by performing prescribed control functions on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
Responsible for enhancing or implementation of the most cost efficient and timely payment methods to vendors including Virtual Payment Types, ACH, Check, etc. for all MDU Resources regulated entities.
Assists in the escheatment of unclaimed property for all MDU Resources and subsidiaries.
Responds in a professional and timely manner to vendor and departmental inquiries regarding payment status of invoices.
Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
