Complete Dispersion of Black Angus First Calf Heifers

Selling at Hub City Livestock Auction, Tuesday, April 23, 2024

Over 250 first calf, home-raised black Angus heifers from Rocking N Ranch at Streeter, North Dakota. These are the top end out of our main herd. Letting our top cut go is something our ranch has never done before, but we've decided it's time to cut back. We pride ourselves on producing heifers which are easy calving, good-fleshing, and good uddered mamas. For more than 15 years, we have calved heifers in the pasture, so they know how to do it on their own. Last year we calved out over 250 head and only brought two head in to assist, which is a normal trait for our first calf heifers.

These fancy heifers are weighing from 1,000-1,150 pounds and are bred to easy calving bulls. Heifers were synchronized and bull bred to Jallo Angus, Prairie Pride Angus, and Adams Angus Ranch genetics to name a few. All heifers are from our herd, which is a closed herd. No females have ever been purchased and all offspring have originated out of registered Angus bulls.

The heifers are already at Hub City Livestock in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and are being preg checked. Groups will be sorted in three heat cycles calving from May 1 - July 1. There may also be some fall calvers. We apologize for no photos of these heifers, but imagine a great set of fancy heifers. Call Rich at 701-two six nine-7424 for more information.
