Job Description:

This position is for an assistant warehouse manager, who plays a vital role in our daily operations. This person will perform a multitude of duties, from operations, logistics, customer service, and more. This includes managing people, our most important asset in a manner consistent with our company policies. This is a salaried position, reporting to the warehouse manager. Hours vary by seasonality of the business.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist the warehouse manager, admin, and operations with the day-to-day functions of the business

Load/unload trucks as needed

Inventory Management

Field phone calls from salesmen/customers and assist with their needs; product procurement, logistics, order taking, order entry and more

Assist with driver training and hiring procedures

Assist with fleet and equipment maintenance

Assist with creating shipping/receiving documents when necessary

Driving as needed

Qualifications:

HS diploma or equivalent

Proficient with computer and email

Ability to work in and react in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Absolutely must be dependable, professional and carry a positive attitude

Prior forklift experience, CDL, Hazmat and Tanker endorsement preferred, but will train
