1979 Chevy K-10 Silverado 4X4

This listing is to sell my 71 yr. old mother's, 1979 Chevy Silverado K-10. I know what you're thinking why would a little old lady have such a big, tall truck. Plain and simple, she just liked its beautiful color, style, and simplicity. She wanted something 4-wheel drive to reliably to get to work in our unpredictable North Dakota winters when she needed it. Knowing my brother had it for sale as he was the previous owner before her, she didn't have to think too hard to make the purchase on such a beauty in 2009. A local friend sold it to my brother in about 2000. He recalls the man that restored it did the restoration in about 1995. The truck has held up well for a restoration that was performed that long ago. Knowing it was in my family thus so long till this current day, I know the truck was always stored inside when not in use. However that being said, the paint and body of the truck still does have normal used flaws, chips, dings and yes, some minor areas of rust starting to bubble in various places around lower rear wheel wells as seen in the pics. attached. I'm not going to tell you there aren't no flaws in appearance. Non the less a still very sound truck. I personally airbrushed the tailgate on rear of truck for my brother in 2006. The main body color is light Quasar Blue. The bed box internal is coated with spray in bed liner, along with a rubber drop in floormat not shown in picture. There is also an aluminum diamond tread tool box behind cab. The truck starts quick and idles excellent with ease no flooding or loading up. Runs so nice you'd swear it must be EFI.

My mother decided to have a local mechanic install a new reman stock 350ci long block engine in the truck in fall of 2011. At the same time mechanic also installed a new radiator, carburetor, ignition components, rear drive shaft. The average miles of use on the odometer reading when the reman. engine was installed is around 6000 miles. The truck runs and drives great, the 33" tires are great shape, nice deep tread mounted on 15" aluminum rims. Truck has awesome traction with the All-Wheel Drive 4X4 which can be shifted inside from low to high with floor shifter. Truck has 4:10 gear ratio in the differentials, making it pull great if needed. Automatic Transmission is strong and works great. Air conditioning is not hooked up under hood and engine compartment is like a used average engine compartment would look with some oil and grease on engine components.
